The HongKong Ice Hockey Association (HKIHA) is pleased to announce that the 2010 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia will be held in Chinese Taipei and it was tentatively scheduled in March 2010. HKIHA cordially invites HKIHA members and Registered Club members to register for the Hong Kong team tryouts.

HKIHA firstly organized the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia in 2008 and it becomes one of the major ice hockey events in Asia . This is a men tournament which players must be HKSAR passport holder and shall be aged 18 or above at Mar 2010. Players who aged from 15 to 17 shall be subject to special consideration of HKIHA. The entry fee of the tryouts for each player is HKD300 and the tentative schedule is as follow:

Date: Saturday, 12, 19 Dec 2009; 9, 16, 23, 30 Jan 2010 (total 6 tryouts)
Time: 21:15 – 22:45
Venue: Sky Rink, Dragon Centre

The IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia is subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and players will be responsible for some of the expenses include but not limited to airfares, accommodation, meals, jerseys and socks, local transportation in Taipei, travel insurance, rink fee, coach fee and all administration fees.

Registered players are highly recommended to attend all tryouts scheduled and missing of any tryout may affect the eligibility to participate in the 2010 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia. The final roster of the team will be released after the last tryout on 30 Jan 2010.
