November 15, 2014 Annual General Meeting and EC Meeting Reschedule
Dear HKIHA Member,
HongKong Ice Hockey Association received complaints regarding the upcoming Annual General Meeting’s Executive Committee Nomination process. The complainants emphasized on the ‘time constraints and unreasonable notification period’ to conduct the needed processes for EC Nomination. For maintenance of a fair, just and open nomination process, the HKIHA Executive Committee understanding the importance of this issue and the significance of the Annual General Meeting as well as the EC Meeting, have decided to postpone the Annual General Meeting and EC Meeting to a later date.
The extension will be beneficial to HKIHA as it will allow more sufficient time for EC Nominees to conduct the needed procedures and also compromise and bring about a solution to the complainants’ claims.
Therefore, HKIHA’s Annual General Meeting and EC Meeting will be rescheduled to Saturday December 13th, 2014 at 12pm.
With this, please note the following:
1) Protection and Validity of EC Nomination Forms
All valid EC Nomination Forms, proxies and any related documents received for the original Annual General Meeting dated – November 15th, 2014 will be protected and remain credible and valid for the rescheduled Annual General Meeting – December 13th, 2014 .
2) HKIHA Membership Name List Viewing
HKIHA members name list will be available for HKIHA Ordinary Members to view for EC Nomination purposes at the HKIHA office. Viewing appointments must be made and visits only available during regular HKIHA office hours (10am to 6pm). Viewing will be available today November 14th, 2014 until November 28th, 2014. 3) New Nomination Forms Due Date
Deadline for the New EC Nomination Forms submission to the HKIHA is November 28th, 2014 at 5:30pm. Please see the Nomination Form Here.
HKIHA hopes that by extending the AGM, this solution will help potential EC Nominees and Ordinary Members to have sufficient time to prepare relevant documents and forms as needed and to maintain the HKIHA’s fair, just and open nomination procedures.
